The Pi Eta Chapter, founded in 1985, is the Minneapolis undergraduate chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. celebrates 100 years of brotherhood, scholarship and service in 2014. New leadership was elected in July of 2013 at the biennial conference called the Conclave in Philadelphia. The General Board will be leading us into our century of service with a new found direction; “Transform: One Fraternity Working Together to Transform Our Community.” A Transformed Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. calls upon Sigma Men all across the nation to speak with one voice, move in unison and answer the call of their communities, uniting the public and the brotherhood as one. The Transformation begins this year on all levels internationally, nationally, and most importantly locally. The Pi Eta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was established on the University of Minnesota Campus Twin Cities on Friday, March 15th, 1985. Since it’s reactivation in 2008 after a 19 year hiatus the Pi Eta Chapter is currently under new leadership and aims to progress and position itself for success and to embrace the Transformation in unison. The Pi Eta Chapter’s mission statement lies and begins within the acronym S.I.G.M.A: Sharing our values, including the community in our blueprint for success, growing a culture of service, maintaining dignity and respect, and acting as leaders for a better. We drive this mission through the T.I.E leadership model, cultivating Transparent, Inclusive, and Effective brothers to lead us into a new era.

It is upon this conviction we present our chapter as one that staunchly rejects stagnation, and devotes ourselves only to forward progression.
